Tarin Mendoza
I grew up in Wendell, Idaho, a small town near the Snake River, which cuts straight through the landscape. Surrounded by sagebrush and volcanic rock, I developed an instinct for texture and the kind of beauty that lives in imperfect things.
What started as a hobby turned into a lifelong passion. Every piece I make carries a bit of that Idaho light: warm, tough, and a little rugged around the edges.
Today I work out of my home studio, shaping each piece by hand. No two mugs are exactly alike, and that’s entirely the point.

Twin Falls roots
The high desert of southern Idaho shaped my eye for texture and earthy color, which can be felt and seen in every pot.
Wheel-thrown and hand-sculpted
Every piece is made by hand. The slight variations are what make each pot its own masterpiece.
Fired with intention
Fired at cone 6. Food-safe and dishwasher-safe.

Clay hand-wedged, centred on the wheel.
Throw & shape
Pulled up by hand, handle attached.
Bisque fire
First firing hardens clay for glazing.
Glaze & kiln
Hand-dipped, fired to 2200°F.
